The Trifecta of Professional Solar Training
Last Thursday, October 31st, 2024, marked a significant milestone in our commitment to fostering solar industry expertise. We hosted the inaugural Roof Mounting course, the final installment in our comprehensive Trifecta of Professional Solar Training, a journey that began earlier this year.
Since its inception, our Trifecta has empowered 79 individuals through the foundational PV Solar Basics course. This introductory program caters mainly to newcomers to the photovoltaic field, providing a solid grounding in the fundamentals of solar technology.
Building upon this foundation, our Off-Grid PV Technician eLearning course offers a deeper dive into the intricacies of off-grid solar systems. With approximately 170 hours of self-paced learning across 7 modules, participants gain practical skills and theoretical knowledge. Rigorous self-assessments and a final online examination ensure mastery of the subject matter, culminating in a well-deserved certificate of competence. To date, 14 dedicated individuals have successfully completed this challenging programme, with more working on completing the program.
The Roof Mounting course, the last piece of the Trifecta, bridges the gap between theory and the realities of installing a PV system. This hands-on, one-day intensive workshop allows participants to apply their acquired knowledge to real-world scenarios. Our inaugural course, attended by 6 eager learners, provided invaluable experience in safe and efficient solar panel installation techniques.
